Malir Expressway Project - Phase-I

The Local Government of Sindh launched the feasibility and transaction advisory services for Malir Expressway Phase-I project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode .

This key infrastructure initiative entails the development of a new elevated 2+2 lane expressway, designed to connect Karachi Port (East Wharf) with Shahrah-e-Bhutto at the Jam Sadiq Interchange. The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion and facilitate a smooth, uninterrupted route for the transportation of goods from the port to Karachi’s industrial zones and onward to the upcountry. Spanning approximately 12.5 kilometers, the expressway will provide a direct link between Karachi Port and the under-construction Shahrah-e-Bhutto, addressing critical logistical and mobility challenges.
