TP4 Waste Water
Treatment & Recycling Project

The project envisages construction of 22 km Interceptor, primary and secondary waste water treatment plant of approx. 120 MIGD along with Tertiary treatment and RO of approx. 40 MIGD to supply industrial grade water to the industries in KIA Karachi.

World Bank has pledged USD 100 mn, Asian Development Bank  has committed USD 50 mn and the Sindh Cabinet has approved Capex funding of equivalent to USD 80 Mn for the project. 

This project will supply water to the industrial area, reducing their dependency on fresh water needed elsewhere in the city. It will also enhance environmental sustainability by discharging treated water into the sea.
